After seven spectaculair edition of the Moving Futures Festival, the last cities of the tour are coming up. We will still hit the stages of Theater Rotterdam on 16-18 March, De Kring Roosendaal at March 24th, and have our final celebration in Theater Bellevue and Dansmakers Podium in Amsterdam on 28-31 March. In both Rotterdam as Amsterdam we still have four (!) fantastic premières ahead of us. A program you cannot miss!

The Rotterdam edition of Moving Futures Festival starts with the premières by choreographers Natalia de Miguel and Johanna Tengan. In Clara by Natalia de Miguel you enter a clinical laboratory in which a displaced body is looking for lost spirit. With Singular Johanna Tengan takes us into a physical and intuitive world of language, imagination and wonder inspired by the work of Belgium poet Herman de Coninck (1944-1997). The two engaging solo’s presented this night were develop as part of a new exhange program between Dansateliers, Rotterdam and the Spanish art centre Azkuna Zentroa in Bilbao.

Two intense premieres of the choreographers Fouad Boussouf and Jija Sohn. The Korean – Japanese Jija Sohn, winner of Moving Forward Young Dancemakers Award 2016, brings the pleasures and perversity of Japanese Kyabajo and its Western equivalent to the audience. In the international performance Nass (les Gens), seven men, seven dancers, glorify the power of the collective in the intense and acrobatic dance.
