Yeah but no but yeah

Hilde Elbers

In an oceanic duet together with dancer Judit Ruiz Onandi Hilde faces the challenge to find out how we can maintain ourselves and merge at the same time, how we can disappear in form and formlesness. How far can we move together? How liquid can you be as a person? In this Hilde connects the act of defining borders to the naturalness of breathing. Something you keep on doing unconsciously.

The dance flows organically back and forth between surrendering and demarcation. Just as in her previous work, Elbers let the audience and performers float briefly in an almost tangible, dark silence. Theaterkrant, 2017
