5 questions for… Igor Vrebac

21 January 2019

This spring we ask our makers five questions. First in line: Igor Vrebac, read here what he told us

What is indispensable in your work?

”Music, movement, sweat and a tear, humor and being sexy.”

What do you love to do after a day of hard work?

”Going to the cinema, especially weird art-house movies made by directors and writers with a screw loose. Because of the different medium, in which your are more anonymous as an audience, my thoughts go a completely different direction. That is very inspiring for me to use as approach: create theatre pieces from a movie maker’s view.”

What would you want to tell people?

”That we are complex.”

What is your guilty pleasure?

”Playing disco music at home and shaking my booty until I fall down. Or being caught by my neigbours: the tax authorities. Then I wave back.”

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

”I cannot see into the future, but I would like to be in a place where it is quiet and positive, a place in nature or abroad. Preferably combined, Canada or the north of Sweden perhaps.
