From 22 to 25 May, you’ll experience the universe of dance in Dansmakers Amsterdam and Theater Bellevue with a daily interactive and diverse Moving Futures festival program.
The first day of the Moving Futures festival in Amsterdam will start festively with a welcome drink, a surprise dance act and snacks at Dansmakers Amsterdam. Everyone is welcome from 19:45. We are not only celebrating the start of the festival in Amsterdam, but also the premiere of Not on this Earth, from Keren Rosenberg & Charlie Prince. In this duet, the dance artists Keren Rosenberg and Charlie Prince reflect on the geo-political boundaries that have been imposed on them.
Also on Wednesday 22 May the performance Bored to Death, in which Judith Clijsters is wondering about the offer we bring with our body in our freaked out health and fitness culture. Cinedans films are shown continuously in the foyer.
Be surprised in advance by swirling dance acts of CHRONOS on the Central Station. Their choreography will be performed by students of the Academy for Theatre and Dance.
In collaboration with Dutch Performing Arts, there is another visitors’ programme for international guests. This year, international choreographers will also visit the festival with the support of the Carte Blanche programme of the European Dancehouse Network.
