From 22 to 25 May, you’ll experience the universe of dance in Dansmakers Amsterdam and Theater Bellevue with a daily interactive and diverse Moving Futures festival program.

Life is not always as fun as we like to believe. This millennial issue is at the base of the contemporary Lullaby made by choreographers Piet Van Dycke and Annemijn Rijk. Also a child of his time is the multinational French-German-Dutch maker Joseph Simon: in Chameleon he moves through the different colorful movement idioms with which he grew up. In between these two performances you can watch a dance film from the collection of Cinedans.

The afternoon is dedicated to an intricate combination of dance and science: debating monks where the source of inspiration for the living laboratory Notes on Synchrony, where the phenomenon of brain synchronization is researched in performance.

Jubileum Special: Dance professionals are invited at Dansmakers Amsterdam at 14:30 to join a work session on Creative Producentschap (Creative Producing), an urgent theme within the practice of makers today.

Before the start of the evening programme the mood is set by students from the Amsterdam Dance Academy (AHK) in their flash-performances: let them surprise you at 18.00 and 19.00 hrs at Amsterdam Central Station and at the Leidse Plein in the city centre.
