Biography

Arnhem-based creators Emma Hanekroot and Emma Versluys together form Peeled Collective. For VIERxVIER, they are creating Het Vouwen van Stemmen (“The Folding of Voices”), a personal dance-theater performance about transgenerational trauma. Through poetry written by Emma Hanekroot and visual art inspired by it, created by Emma Versluys, they craft a dynamic and surreal dance duet.

Director and choreographer Ibrah Silas Jackson comes from a hip-hop background, but also draws inspiration from funk and African cultures. For Unravel Threads, he explores the effects of peer pressure, such as external influences and the performance anxiety young people face. Three dancers from different styles search for authenticity and self-empowerment.
